I'm so happy that the news is finally out! I have been wanting to share with you guys for so long, but it just wasn't the right time and Alex and I wanted to have this special moment to ourself for a little while. A lot of emotional highs and lows come with being pregnant that no one really understands unless you've been pregnant before. A lot of the reason why my blog and boutique were at a stand still was because I was pregnant. I found out that I was pregnant the week before graduation (in December) and I was at a stand still of knowing what I need to do (job wise) and what my passion/dreams/goals were (the boutique and blogging). Before I did great at juggling both but in the beginning of my pregancy I was having a lot of trouble.  Thank goodness that I got it all back together and that Marie Pierre Boutique is finally up and ready !

This blog post is just a mini introduction to new post coming in the future! Don't worry, I'm still curves of creativity. However, the blog will not just be on my style, it will also include more post on natural hair, pregnancy, natural birth, health, fashion, baby fashion :) and interior design. Hope that you all can continue this journey with me!

Elizabeth Lawrence is a unique fashionista who catches peoples attention with her own personal style. She owns

and operates She's Oh So Thrifty which is a hand picked thrift store inspired by trend and culture.  Because of

her eye for creative vintage clothing and her entrepreneurialship skills, I decided that it would be great for her to

be featured on Curves of Creativity. Lets get to know what makes Elizabeth, Oh So Thrifty.

Curves of Creativity: How would you describe your personal style?

Elizabeth: I would describe my personal style to be hippie urban exquisitely Unique.

Curves of Creativity: What famous celebrities inspire you?

Elizabeth: Beyonce, Rihanna, Solange, Crystal Westbrooks

Curves of Creativity: Where do you shop at?

Elizabeth: I mainly shop at thrift stores, but to find those certain items you can't find at the store I go to Urban Outfitters, Forever  21, TJ Maxxs, Marshall's, and Plato's Closet.

Curves of Creativity: What is your favorite outfit that you have right now?

Elizabeth: Hmmmmm that's a hard one, but if I would have to pick it would be this Poka dot crop top with my baseball jersey over, acid stone washed skirt, black high knee socks, & gray timbs.

Curves of Creativity: Any trends you wish were never created?

Elizabeth: Mmm I feel if there was never a trend there would be nothing to progress from.

Curves of Creativity: What do you think are the best trends ever?

Elizabeth: Leather for sure, from the shirts to the tops. Baseball jerseys, High Wasted shorts and jeans, last but not least Harlem pants.

Curves of Creativity: What are your top five essential clothing staples?

Elizabeth:

Vintage T-shirt

Combat Boots

Boyfriend Jeans

Army Jacket

Arm Candy

Curves of Creativity: What is your favorite season to dress in?

Elizabeth: Summer! Because I absolutely love wearing shorts and making them.

Curves of Creativity: Why do you like fashion?

Elizabeth: I have such an admiration for fashion because people get to see a side of you that they really don't know. You have the chance to be fully in charge  to express yourself through your own personal unique style. Some may look at you crazy but ayyy I bet they will try what you just had on next week.

So there you have it! Her creativity is genius, the style is just extra. ;)

Artist Fashion Calendar project

I am sooooooo excited to share with you guys my first photo shoot that I styled!! I am apart of an Artistic Fashion Calendar project for 2014. I am working with a photographer, Alxander Pierre and a graffiti/mural artist named Seven located in Chattanooga, TN. There will be more on my blog about the project later on, but for right now I want to share with you my experience on my first styled shoot. I was lucky to work with a very fun and energetic model who was very open to my suggestions that I made. I schedule several different appointments with her to make sure that we had all of the outfits and accessories together before the day of the shoot to prevent from rushing and getting last minute items. (I hate rushing....it makes me stressed out! lol )  Luckily our theme was a Native American/Indian theme and I must say we nailed it with the outfits! :) Here are a few photos from the shoot. (I cant show to much because the calendar isn't out yet....so just keep checking my blog for the full shots of her outfits later)

No.5 Cardigans

So I know, I know, I have been stalling on posting for this shoot, even though on Instagram I said it would be last week but I realized that I took this shoot super early. I was missing my No.4 in my fall must haves. (That's why my plaid post came before this one lol)  I had mistaking took the photo shoots out of order but I'm on track now!

One thing that I love about fall is cardigans! These are like a girls best friend when cold weather comes. I just had to have a cheetah print one:) (the best print out there, by far). This shoot was not fun at all, I am not even going to lie. There were mosquito's everywhere and they were biting me to death.(I was quite mad...hopefully it doesn't show in these pictures) I wanted to go for a more natural look. I really did not put make up on except for eye makeup. I did my hair in a crazy updo for this shoot. I was super excited about it. (I might even do a tutorial if I remember how to do it lol) Hope you guys have a great rest of the week!

Mad for Plaid

This photo shoot took literally 15 minutes! I really don't know why it was so quick lmao. Half of the time I was crackin' jokes on Alex. Ssshh don't tell him I said that! By the way I usually take my photo shoots way ahead of the time I actually post them on Instagram or on my blog. I do this because I'm busy with school and Alex is busy with work, so it's hard for us to just go out and take pictures out of the blue. I try to write my blog post at the beginning or end of the week. Thank goodness I have someone by my side pushing me to get my work done. (cough cough....thanks Alex) lol Because I 100% get distracted easily!!! At the moment I'm at Whole Foods writing. It's so relaxing here, they have a nice little cozy lounge area and it really helps me stay focus on what I'm suppose to be doing.

Any who, Plaid is so in this Fall. I mean most of you guys reading this probably have already noticed. Just something about it will spice up your wardrobe. I wanted to do something different then a plaid shirt wrapped around my waist, so I decided on this school girl look.:) Let me know how you feel about plaid!

No.3 Combat Boots

Combat boots are a definite must have for the fall and winter seasons. I know that many people do not know what to wear with combat boots and I tell them...it's simple. If your not going to a dinner party, funeral, or the beach, you can basically wear them with anything causal.
I decided to wear these combat boots in a different way. Just to show that you can pull it off! I paired my combat boots with a long body con dress, a graphic tee and a military jacket. I know that it might seem like its a bunch of random pieces that I through together (I actually did lol) but isn't that what personal style is? :) Throwing something on that you think might not go together but somehow you make it work?!:)
I absolutely love this location and I know majority of UTC students know where this is. The dirtiest places make the best locations! What do you guys think?

Plaid/Checker Print

Okay, so I've been on this fall season for a good three months now. There are many fall styles that I have been really diggin' this year. One being plaid and checker, how do you guys feel about plaid and checker print coming back into style for Fall 2013. It's almost like you really are for it or you are completely against this new fad. Hmmmm .....What do you guys think? Could you style this in a creative way?
